COAST GUARD ACADEMY CLUB SPORTS
Club sports at the USCGA are a distinct group of non-varsity intercollegiate sports, which operate and are chartered under the academy’s Cadet division. The eight (8) chartered club sports at USCGA compete against comparable club programs from other colleges and universities. Participation in the chartered club sports which Cadet division offers is voluntary. The level of interest among cadets in these eight (8) club sports listed below is typically strong and spirited, both in terms of number of team members and fan support from the Corps of Cadets.
Much of the leadership of chartered
club sports programs comes from the cadets who participate, along
with coaching and administrative oversight from community
volunteers and/or Coast Guard officers who are members of the CGA
faculty and staff.
