MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(4/2/08)--Wesleyan scored three unearned runs in the fourth and five more runs, three unearned in the fifth as the Cardinals scored the final eight runs of the game and beat Coast Guard 12-4 in a game stopped in the fifth inning due to the eight-run rule.

Coast Guard jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a two-run homer by Courtney Wolf.

Meaghan Dendy's grand slam in the second gave Wesleyan a 4-2 lead.

The Bears added a single run in the third, on solo homer by Amanda Frederick and then tied the game in the fourth at 4-4 on an RBI single by Leanna Minton.

Crystal Lee Coonan went the distance and took the loss for Coast Guard as she allowed six earned runs.

Coast Guard (7-14) had seven hits by seven different players.
