Women's Track - Stevens Leads Bears to 2nd Place Finish
Victoria Stevens won both the shot put and hammer at Westfield State.
WESTFIELD, MASS.--(3/29/08)--Victoria Stevens won both the shot put (36-6.25) and the hammer (126-6) and was second in the discus (105-10) leading Coast Guard to a second place finish at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State College.
Also for the Bears, Tessa Knott won the 800 meters (2:27.31), JoEllen Arons won the 1,500 meters (4:55.18), Beth Denicola won the 10,000 meters (41:36.60), Beth Stevick won the pole vault (7-10.5) and Anne Jefferson won the discus (108-9).
Coast Guard finished with 169 points only behind host Westfield State's 221 points.
