Men's Swimming - Bears Easily Beat Clark 169-87
Senior Dan Cloonan won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events in the win.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/2/08)--Senior Dan Cloonan won both the one and three-meter diving events while seven others won individual events leading Coast Guard to a 169-87 win over Clark.
Cloonan won the 1-meter with a score of 213.75 and the 3-meter with a score ocf 244.05.
Senior Bobby Brown won the 200 freestyle (1:46.93), sophomore Timmy Berry won the 100 backstroke (54.31) while senior Dale Cressman won the 50 freestyle (22.21) and junior Ryan Taylor won the 200 backstroke (2:02.21).
Four freshmen were winners for the Bears as Dan Alley won the 1,000 freestyle (10:32.86), Mark Tatara won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.55), Theodore Borny won the 200 butterfly (2:09.60) and Brian Bonomi won the 100 freestyle (50.18).
Also for the Bears, the 200 medley relay team of Taylor, freshman Mike Carman, junior Jim Okorn and sophomore Taylor Volkman won with a time of 1:39.88.
