KINGS POINT, N.Y.--(1/30/08)--Senior Natalie Moyer had 19 points while classmate DeCarol Davis added a season-high 17 points as Coast Guard won its single-season school-record seventh straight beating rival Merchant Marine 64-54 in a non-conference game.

Coast Guard is off to its best start ever at the Bears improve to 14-2 overall. The Bears won their third straight road game and improved to 9-1 on the road this season.

The Bears led by as many as 13, at 32-19 in the first half before the Mariners scored the final five points of the half to trail 32-24 at the break.

Merchant Marine pulled to within four on four different occasions, the final one being 50-46 with 8:06 left before Coast Guard used a 12-2 run to put the game away as the Bears led 62-48 with 2:02 left.

Sophomore Melissa Martinelli had 14 points and eight rebounds while senior Corinne McCormack added eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds for Coast Guard.
