Men's Swimming - Bears Sweep NEWMAC Foes Springfield and MIT
Doug Fallon won both the 200 butterfly and the 400 IM leading the Bears to two wins.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(1/20/08)--Senior Doug Fallon won both the 200 butterfly and 400 IM while placing second in the 200 backstroke as Coast Guard beat both MIT (154-144) and host Springfield (187-113) in a tri-meet at Springfield.
Fallon won the 200 butterfly in 1:59.58, the 400 IM in 4:14.67 and had a second place time of 2:02.89 in the 200 backstroke finishing behind his teammate sophomore Timmy Berry (1:57.94).
Also for the Bears (6-2), junior Jim Okorn won the 100 freestyle (48.01) and junior Nick Forni took the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.50.
