Women's Swimming - Bears Beat Babson; Lose to Wellesley
Kim Shadwick won both the 500 and 1,000 freestyle for the Bears.
WELLESLEY, MASS.--(1/15/08)--Freshman Kim Shadwick won both the 500 freestyle (5:21.60) and the 1,000 freestyle (10:48.19) as the Bears split a tri-meet, beating Babson 165-70 and losing to host Wellesley 153-88.
Senior Joan Hunter won the 100 freestyle (54.64), took second in the 50 freestyle (24.87)and teamed with Shadwick, senior Jenny Fields and freshman Emily Zalewski to take second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.79).
Freshman Alyse Marquinez placed second in the 3-meter diving with 198 points for the Bears.
