Football - Hartmann, Harms Named All-Americans
Nick Hartmann was named to the D3football.com All-America team for the first time in his career.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(12/17/07)--New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division champion Coast Guard senior punter Jesse Harms and senior offensive lineman Nick Hartmann were both named to the 2007 D3football.com All-America team.
Harms, who was named to the All-East first team by D3football.com last week, earns third team All-America honors for the third straight season. He led the NEFC with a 40.7 yard average and earned first team All-league honors for the fourth straight season, two in the Liberty League and two in the NEFC.
Hartmann, the Bears starting left guard, was also named to the All-America third team. He was a first team All-East selection by D3football.com and was named the NEFC Bogan Division Offensive Lineman of the Year and a first team selection. Coast Guard was third in the nation, allowing just seven sacks all season. This was his first time to earn All-America honors in his career.
Coast Guard finished the season with an 8-2 record after losing to five-time defending NEFC champion Curry 10-7 in the NEFC Championship game.
