NEW LONDON, CONN.-(12/8/07)--Coast Guard without the services of All-America Bobby Brown, who has his wisdom teeth taken out earlier in the week, fell to Division I Rhode Island 154-146.
The meet featured the battle between father and son as URI head coach Mick Westkott squared off against his son, Coast Guard head coach John Westkott.
Sophomore Taylor Volkman won the 50 freestyle (22:10) and teamed with freshman Dan Alley, junior Nick Forni and junior Chris Woods to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.78).
Forni won the 100 butterfly (53.11) and also teamed with sophomore Timmy Berry, freshman Mike Carman and Woods to win the 200 medley relay (1:39.54).
Also for the Bears, Doug Fallon won the 200 breaststroke (2:13.21) and freshman Mark Tatora won the 100 breaststroke (1:02.28). |
