NEW LONDON, CONN.--(12/3/07)--Coast Guard Academy senior Natalie Moyer has been named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

She averaged 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game as Coast Guard won two of three games during the week to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Moyer, who has led the NEWMAC in scoring and three-point field goals in each of the last two seasons, had a double-double to start the week as she finished with a game-high 22 points, including six three-pointers to go with a game-high 10 rebounds in a win over New England College. She then had a season-high 26 points, including nine of 10 from the foul line in a 62-61 win at WNEC as the Bears won their first four games for the first time since the 1997-’98 season.

Moyer finished the week by scoring a team-high 13 points in the loss to Trinity on Saturday.

She currently leads the team with 15.2 points per game and is second on the team with 6.6 rebounds per game. Moyer also leads the team with 12 three-point field goals and 17 steals.
