Sailing - Bears Finish Season with 5th Place at Atlantic Coast Tournament |

Throgs Neck, NY--(11/11/07)--The Coast Guard Academy Sailing Team finished 5th out of a field of 16 at the Atlantic Coast Tournament hosted by SUNY Maritime this past weekend. Kevin Kuhn ’08 and Linden Dahlkemper ’08 sailed A Division, finishing 7th in their division with 97 points. In B Division, Sam Ingham ’11 and Jenn Proctor ’11 finished 5th with 71 points. Ingham and Proctor sailed very consistently on the second day of the regatta, finishing no worse than 6th in the seven races sailed and winning race 12. The team combined for 168 points.
Boston University won the regatta with the University of Vermont and Bowdoin College in second and third respectively. The regatta demonstrated dominance from New England schools, with all seven of the schools from New England competing in the regatta finishing 1st – 7th.
