Men's Swimming - Bears Beat New Paltz in Dual Meet Opener
Freshman Mike Carman won two events in the first dual meet of the season leading the Bears to victory.
NEW PALTZ, N.Y.--(11/7/07)--Alex Brown won the 1,000 (10:14.06) and swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:30.91) as Coast Guard beat SUNY-New Paltz 112.5-89.5 in the first dual meet of the season.
Mike Carman won the 100 breaststroke (1:02.79) for Coast Guard and teamed with Timmy Berry, Nick Forni and Taylor Bolkman to win the 200 medley relay (1:40.88).
Also, Chris Woods, Bobby Brown and Volkman swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
