NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/5/07)--Senior Amy Ludlum scored her school record 49th career goal in the first half and she added two assists as MIT scored three goals in a span of less than five minute late in the game leading the Engineers to a 4-0 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

Ludlum scored off a direct kick with just 3:40 left in the first half, her 15th goal of the season which gave her the school record to herself with 49 careeer goals.

Senior Janine Hopmans scored in the 81st minute, sophomore Liz Theurer scored 2:32 later and then freshman Lauren Hernley closed the scoring just 2:26 after the Theurer goal. Freshman Erica Little assisted on the Hopmans goal and Ludlum assisted on the final two goals.

Coast Guard (1-10, 0-4) outshot MIT 14-12.

Junior Stephanie Brenman made four saves to record the shutout for MIT (8-3, 3-1).

Coast Guard has dropped six straight.
