Volleyball - Bears Roll to Fifth Straight Win
Junior Jeannie Crump led the Bears with 11 kills as Coast Guard improved to 6-2 on the season.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/20/07)--Junior Jeannie Crump led the way with 11 kills as Coast Guard cruised to a 3-0 (30-10, 30-15, 30-17) win over host Mitchell in the battle of New London schools.
Coast Guard (6-2), which has won five straight, jumped out to an early lead in game one when freshman Ashley Bullard scored 10 straight service points to set the score at 10-1 as the Bears won game one 30-10.
Sophomore Courtney Wolf tallied eight kills for the Bears while junior Nicole Gurr served four aces and earned five kills in the win. Freshman Heather Watka finished with 13 assists.
