NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/13/07)--Junior Jackie Peterson scored her team leading seventh goal of the season just 4:15 into the match as Carthage (Wis.) remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Coast Guard.
Sophomore Ashleigh Johnson scored an unassisted goal in the 39th minute as the Lady Reds (5-0) led 2-0 at halftime.
Senior Michelle Jorwic scored the only goal of the second half with freshman Maria Korosis adding her third assist of the season.
Carthage, ranked sixth in the NSCAA Central Region poll, outshot Coast Guard 13-5.
Junior Lindsey Bollman and senior Christie Johnston each made one save on the combined shutout.
Coast Guard drops to 0-4 on the season.
