United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Men's Tennis

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(5/1/07)--The Coast Guard Academy men's tennis team won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) inaugural Sportsmanship Award as voted on by the tennis student athletes in the conference.

The Sportmanship Award is awarded to the team that most closely demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct.

The Coast Guard athletic teams won five Sportsmanship Awards this season as the men's soccer, men's cross country, men's basketball women's crew and now men's tennis teams won the award.

The very young Coast Guard men's tennis team was 5-8 this season and has no seniors and just one junior on the roster.
