NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/28/07)--Caitlin Quinn won the 3,000 meter steeplechase and Anne Jefferson placed second in the discus, both earning All-conference honors as host Coast Guard placed sixth at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Track and Field Championship.
MIT won the NEWMAC championship with 215.5 points, Coast Guard had 59 just behind fifth place Mount Holyoke's 60 points.
Quinn won the steeplechase with a time of 11:29.67 while Jefferson had a discus toss of 121 feet, five inches.
