NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/24/07)--Chuck Arena had four hits including a pair of doubles, a homer and three RBI's, but it wasn't enough as Coast Guard dropped its fifth straight with an 11-7 loss at Mitchell.

Coast Guard will need to regroup as the seventh seeded Bears will travel to second seeded WPI on Thursday at 3:30 in the first round of the NEWMAC tournament.

Mitchell jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Coast Guard tied it with five runs in the fifth. The key hit was a three-run double by Brian Lisko.

The Pequots responded with four runs in the home half for a 9-7 lead. Coast Guard got two back in the sixth on a two-run homer by Arena.

Mitchell added single runs in the sixth and seventh to secure the win.

Adam Reckley, Christian George and Lisko each had two hits for the Bears (10-16).

Kevin Thomas went the first five innings for the Bears and took the loss. Tony Guido worked the final three innings in relief.
