Mike Flint won both the 800 and 1500 meters for the Bears.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/14/07)--Mike Flint won both the 800 (1:56.76)and 1,500 meters (3:56.98) while Matt Romano won the 400 meters (50.89) and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team as the Bears placed second of the four teams at the new track and field complex.

Romano teamed with Jason Erickson, Sam England and Thomas Adams to win the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:24.82.

Other winners for Coast Guard were Zach Hennighausen in the 5,000 meters (15:33.18), Nate Rhodes in the pole vault (14-3.25) and Steve Blum in the javelin (182-04).

Second place finishers for the Bears were Zach Geyer in the high jump (6-3.25) and Kevan Hanson in the discus (138-08).

Springfield won the meet with 78 points while Coast Guard was second with 58 points.
