Keith Laird led Coast Guard with a career-high four hits.
BUZZARDS BAY, MASS.--(4/11/07)--Chuck Arena had a single, double, triple and four RBI's while Keith Laird had a career-high four hits as Coast Guard erased a 6-0 deficit to beat Mass. Maritime 15-13 in a non-conference game.

Coast Guard trailed 6-0 after two innings and 7-2 after three innings before taking advantage of seven Mass. Maritime errors in the fourth inning to pull to within 7-6.

The Bears (10-11) trailed 11-8 after five innings before taking the lead for good with six runs in the sixth. In the sixth Laird, Ken Franklin (two hits) and Brian Lisko each had RBI singles, Arena had an RBI double and Christian George, who had two hits in the game, added a sacrifice fly and the Bears led 14-11.

Mass. Maritime (5-8) added two runs in the sixth to pull to within 14-13. The Bears added an insurance run in the eighth on an RBI triple by Arena.

Adam Reckley had three hits and three runs scored for the Bears while Kevin Higgins also had two hits.

Pete Schofield (2-1) picked up the win in relief of starter Kevin Thomas. Schofield worked three innings and allowed three runs before Will Becker worked a scoreless eighth and ninth to earn the first save of his career.
