NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/3/07)--Wesleyan’s Karla Hargrave worked out of a one-out bases loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh to record her second save of the season as the Cardinals beat Coast Guard 2-1 in a non-conference game.

Hargrave came on in relief of starter Meaghan Dendy with runners of first and second. Hargrave walked Jeannie Crump to load the bases before getting a ground out and pop up to end the game.

Coast Guard (6-13) struck first in the first as Leanna Minton singled, stole second, moved to third on a fly out and scored on an RBI single by Carin Sweeney.

Wesleyan (8-11) scored both of its runs in the third. Wesleyan loaded the bases on a pair of walks and an error.
