BABSON PARK, MASS.--(3/31/07)--The Babson College men’s tennis team ended a five-match slide with a 7-2 victory over the visiting U.S. Coast Guard Academy to end the Bears three match winning streak.

With the victory, the Beavers improved to 3-13 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while the Bears fell to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the NEWMAC.

Babson led 2-1 after doubles play, Coast Guard earned the point at first doubles, where junior Ryan Beck and freshman Chris Pappe prevailed by a score of 8-5.

Beck also won at No. 1 singles for the Bears after dropping the first set 6-4, he won the final two sets 6-1, 6-1 to get the win.
