Men's Basketball - Prebeck named to All-region team
Jeff Prebeck was named to the D3hoops.com All-region second team.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/21/07)--Coast Guard Academy junior forward Jeff Prebeck was named to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast region third team in voting by sports information directors.
Prebeck, who was tied for second nationally with 12.3 rebounds per game, was fourth in the NEWMAC and led the team in scoring with 15.8 points per game. Prebeck set the single-season school record with 344 rebounds this season. He had a big game in the NEWMAC Tournament semifinal win over Wheaton with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Prebeck was a first team All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) selection and was a second team selection last season and the 2004-2005 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year. He registered 22 double-doubles this season.
