Men's Swimming - Relay Teams Earn Honorable Mention Honors |

 Sophomore Jim Okorn earned honorable mention All-America honors in four relay events. HOUSTON, TEXAS--(3/18/07)--The Coast Guard Academy had four relay teams earn honorable mention All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Championships hosted by the University of Houston. The relay teams became the first Coast Guard relay teams to score points at the NCAA Championships in 10 years.
Junior Jack Shadwick and sophomore Jim Okorn swam on all four relay teams which earned honorable mention honors while junior Dale Cressman and senior Colby Schlaht were on three of the relay teams. Senior tri-captain Jack Walsh and junior Doug Fallon were each on one of the teams.
The 200 medley relay team of Shadwick, Schlaht, Fallon and Okorn had the best finish, 13th, with a time of 1:37.95.
The 400 free relay team of Shadwick, Cressman, Schlaht and Okorn were 15th while the 200 free relay (Cressman, Shadwick, Schlaht and Okorn) along with the 800 free relay team (Shadwick, Cressman, Okorn and Walsh) both finished 16th. The top eight in each race are named All-America while the 9th-16th in each race earn honorable mention All-America honors.
Fallon had the top individual finish as he placed 23rd in the 200 butterfly (1:54.72). He was also 29th in the 400 IM (4:09.16) and 38th in the 200 IM (1:57.17).
Okorn was 32nd in the 50 freestyle (21.43) while Shadwick was 37th in the 200 freestyle (1:44.67).
