Colleen Denny had two homers and drove in seven runs in the win over Kean.
ORLANDO,FLA.--(3/16/07)--Colleen Denny homered twice and drove in seven runs Friday to lead the Coast Guard Academy softball team to a 9-1 win over Kean University at the Rebel Games.
Coast Guard opened the day with a 5-2 loss to Washington (Mo.) and concluded its Florida trip with a 4-6 record.
Denny hit a three-run homer in the first inning and hit a grand slam in the second inning. Katie Murray (3-0) pitched a six-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk and Leanna Minton was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Against Washington, Carin Sweeney had two hits for Coast Guard.
