Softball -- Bears Split Doubleheader to Begin Season
Jeannie Crump had four hits in doubleheader action.
ORLANDO, FLA.--(3/11/07)--Coast Guard Academy opened its season by splitting a doubleheader at the Rebel Games in Orlando, Fla.
The Bears defeated Wisconsin-Stout, 10-8, in the opener before losing the second game to Wisconsin-River Falls, 4-3.
Colleen Denny doubled and homered in the opener for CGA while Jeannie Crump added two hits.
In the second game, Erin Cullen went 3-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs while Crump added a single and triple.
