United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Men's Track - Flint Qualifies for NCAA Championships in the Mile

MEDFORD, MASS.--(2/3/07)--Mike Flint won the mile and qualified for the NCAA Championship meet as Coast Guard finished sixth among 14 schools at the Tufts Invitational.

Mike Haas was seventh in the mile for the Bears, qualifying for the New England championships. Tom Adams was second in the 400, while Eric Laurel was ninth in the 3,000, qualifying for the New England meet.

The 4X200 relay of Pat Bennett, Pat Burnet, Paul Sprenger and Adams was fourth, qualifying for the ECAC championship meet.

The distance medley relay was third (Mike Persun, Burnet, Flint and Haas).

Mike Gordon was fourth in the pole vault and Chris Bonner was ninth in the shot put, both qualifying for the New England meet.
