United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Women's Track

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/20/07)--JoEllen Arons, K.C. Gaudette and Jayna McCarron each won an event an were part of winning relay as the Bears placed third at the Coast Guard Invitational.

Arons won the mile run (5:18.64) while Gaudette won the 600 meters (1:49.43). The two teamed with Dana Tomc and Abbie Harms to win the 4x400 relay.

McCarron won the 1,000 meters (3:13.43) and was part of the 4x800m relay team with Charlotte Delorey, Tessa Knott and Lauren Power which also placed first.

Also for Coast Guard, Samantha Gordon won the 800 meters (2:35.99).

Springfield won the meet with 176 points, Eastern Conn. was second with 131 points while Coast Guard had 122 points for third place.
