Corinne McCormack had back-to-back baskets in the final minutes to lead the Bears to victory.
WELLESLEY, MASS.--(1/13/07)--Coast Guard held Wellesley to just three baskets in the final 16:18 of the game outscoring the Blue 20-6 to erase an 11-point deficit and win 45-42 in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference game.

Wellesley led 36-25 with 16:18 left before Coast Guard used a 10-0 run to pull to within 36-35 with 9:12 left in the game.

The Blue pushed the lead back to five at 40-35 on a basket by Evelyn Boettcher with 7:13 left.

Wellesley led 42-39 before back-to-back baskets by Corinne McCormack gave Coast Guard its first lead of the game 43-42 with 2:57 left.


Natalie Moyer hit one free throw at 1:35 and Laura Hutchinson sank another with 19 seconds left pushing the lead to 45-42.

Wellesley missed a pair of three-point shots which would have tied the game.

Moyer had a game-high 20 points while McCormack had 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Coast Guard (8-5, 3-1) was just 3 of 24 from three-point range and just 17 for 70 from the floor.

Jessica Duff led the Blue with 19 points.
