Men's Soccer - Scott Senkier named to NSCAA All-New England team
Scott Senkier was named to the NSCAA All-New England team.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(12/7/06)--Coast Guard Academy senior defender Scott Senkier was named to the 2006 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-New England team.
Senkier, a tri-captain, was a second team All-conference selection in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). He was named to the NSCAA All-New England fourth team.
He was the backbone of the Coast Guard defense which has posted nine shutouts in 18 games this season. Senkier had one goal and three assists.
Senkier led the Bears to three ECAC Tournament appearances in his four years and two trips to the semifinals.
Coast Guard was 10-5-4 this season losing in penalty kicks to eventual champion Wheaton in the NEWMAC Tournament semfinals and seeing the season end in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Tournament.
