WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--(11/34/04)--Senior co-captain Caitlin Quinn picked a great day to win her first race of the season as she stunned the field at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III women's cross country championship at Williams College leading the Bears to a second place finish.

Quinn won the 6K race in 22 minutes, 57 seconds for the Bears, who placed five runners in the top 21, a week after winning their first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)title.

Amherst won the meet with 37 points, followed by Coast Guard (50) and Williams (63).

Senior Aidan Van Cleef (23:13) was third, her sister, freshman Bryce Van Cleef (23:27) was seventh while junior JoEllen Arons (23:49) was 18th and junior Sara McGuigan (23:57) was 21st.
