NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/21/06)--Sophomore Nicole Gurr had 33 kills and 22 digs while junior Kimberly Jung had 23 kills and 35 digs as Coast Guard ran its winning streak to 14 straight with a pair of non-conference wins over Wesleyan (14-8) and Roger Williams (11-17).
In the 3-0 (30-14, 30-20, 30-24) win over Wesleyan, Gurr led the way with 18 kills while Jung had a game-high 16 digs.
Senior co-captain Christine Rostowfske led the Bears with 47 assists.
In the 3-0 (30-15, 30-26, 30-25) win over Roger Williams, Gurr led the Bears with 15 kills while Jung (12 kills, 19 digs) and junior co-captain Corinne McCormack (11 kills, 12 digs) each had double-doubles for the Bears.
Rostowfske had 37 assists in the Roger Williams match.
