Volleyball - Bears Roll to 9th Straight Win, Rostowfske Breaks Record |

 Christine Rostowfske broke the CGA career assists record DANBURY, CONN.--(10/12/06)--Coast Guard, ranked third in New England, rolled to a three-game sweep over Western Connecticut State University at The O’Neill Center Thursday. The Bears, which improved to 13-2 on the season, prevailed, 30-15, 30-19 and 30-16.
Coast Guard, which ran its win streak to nine straight, was led by junior right-side hitter Corinne McCormack, who had eight kills, 23 digs and one service ace.
Rostowfske, who entered the match just one assist shy of the career mark of 3,608 held by Maile Norman (1999-2002) had a strong all-around match with six kills, 34 assists, six digs and a game-high six service aces. She is now the career leader with 3,641 assists.
Nicole Gurr led all players with 13 kills and had 14 digs and two aces on the night.
Rostowfske had a strong all-around match with six kills, 34 assists, six digs and a game-high six service aces.
The Colonials' sophomore outside hitter, Gretchen Olson registered a team-high six kills. She also had 17 digs.
