NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/30/06)--Sophomore Nicole Gurr had 29 kills while junior co-captain Corinne McCormack had 19 kills and 18 digs as Coast Guard handed Williams just its second loss of the season, 3-2 (30-22, 22-30, 30-15, 25-30, 15-10) in a thrilling five-setter in front of a Parent’s Weekend crowd.
Senior co-captain Christine Rostowfske had 66 assists and 18 digs while junior Anne Staley led the Bears (9-2) with seven aces.
Freshman Melissa Pun led Williams with 19 kills, 13 digs and 24 assists while freshman Chelsea Kubal added 13 kills for the Ephs (12-2).
