Coutney Wolf's three-run blast sent the Bears back to regional championship game for the second straight season.
WELLESLEY, MASS.--(5/16/10)--Courtney Wolf blasted a three-run homer in the third inning leading third-seeded Coast Guard to a 4-1 win over second-seeded Brandeis earning the Bears a spot in the NCAA Division III regional championship game for the second straight season.

Coast Guard (34-9) will play top-seeded Eastern Connecticut in the championship game at 2:30 p.m. The Bears will need to beat the Warriors this afternoon and again at 10 a.m. on Monday to win the regional and advance to the Division III World Series in Wisconsin, which begins on Friday.

Brandeis took a 1-0 lead on a walk and three illegal pitches in the first. Hayley Feindel was called for six illegal pitches in the first inning, but made some between inning adjustments and threw six shutout innings to close out the game and improve to 32-9 on the season. Feindel scattered five hits while walking three and striking out four.


Wolf tied the game in bottom of the first with an RBI single.

Holli Bastinck had three hits to lead the Bears while Amanda Frederick continues to swing a hot bat in the regional as she had two more hits and is 13 for 18 in the five games.
