Nate Crum won the 1,500 meters to lead the Bears to the championship.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/17/10)--Josh Wofford, Nate Crum and Kyle Coleman each won events as Coast Guard won the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.

Wofford won the 400 meters (49.78), Crum won the 1,500 meters (4:05.90) while Coleman captured the 400 hurdles (55.27) as the Bears won the ten team Invitational with 153 points. UMass Dartmouth was second with 140 points.

The Bears 4x400 relay team also won with a time of 3:24.36.

Coast Guard had four second place finishes, Tiernan Bonner in the 200 meters (22.89), Mike Mrkvicka in the 1,500 meters (4:06.20), John Jaskot in the high jump (6 feet, 3.25 inches) and Ian Sankey in the pole vault (12 feet, 9 inches).

The Bears also had four third place finishes on the day, Bonner in the 100 meters (11.34), Matt Tolliver in the triple jump (43 feet, 0.5 inches), Will Baker in the discus (129-3) and Devin Adams in the hammer (148-1).
