Men's Tennis - Bears Fall to Nationally Ranked MIT
Blake Maurer teamed with Nick Martin to win at number two doubles for the Bears.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/10/10)--Nationally ranked MIT won all six singles matches and beat Coast Guard 7-2 in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match.
Coast Guard did become the first NEWMAC team this season to win more than one match against the Engineers as the Bears won both the number one and number two doubles matches.
Greg Mitchell and Chris Pappe won at # 1 singles 8-4 while Nick Martin and Blake Maurer teamed to win 8-5 at #2 doubles for the Bears who are 6-7 overall and 1-2 in conference action.
