Women's Outdoor Track - Bears Place 6th at Coast Guard Invite
Emily Zalewski placed second in the 400 meters and was part of a winning relay.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/3/10)--Alaina Kiskaddon placed second in the the 400 meter hurdles running 1:07.16 and Emily Zalewski also placed 2nd in the 400 meters running 1:00.81.
The Bears' 4x400 relay team of Kiskaddon, Colin Fall, Sarah Hohenberger, and Zalewski won the event running 4:10.79.
Anne Jefferson was the runner up in the discus with a season-best performance of 123 feet, seven inches.
Sarah Blatt and Tessa Knott finished 3rd & 4th in the 5000 meters respectively with a time of 19:25.29 and 19:48.55.
Also in the distance events, Bryce Van Cleef placed 4th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:40.47.
Coast Guard had 76 points finishing 6th overall in the 11-team field. University of New Haven won the meet with 102 points.
