Men's Tennis - Bears Fall in NEWMAC Opener
Greg Mitchell won at #1 singles and was part of the winning #1 doubles team for the Bears.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/3/10)--Wheaton won four of the six singles matches enroute to a 6-3 win over Coast Guard in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for both teams.
Greg Mitchell won at #1 singles 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 at singles and he teamed with Chris Pappe to win at #1 doubles, 8-3.
Blake Maurer got the Bears other point with a 6-1, 6-3 win at #4 singles.
Coast Guard is 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
