NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/11/10)--Junior Kyle Nadeau led all scorers with 15 points as he hit five of eight from 3-point range and the Engineers shot 62.5 percent from behind the arc leading WPI to a 62-48 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

WPI (16-5, 5-4) led 19-15 with 7:46 left in the first half and held Coast Guard to just one field goal the rest of the half, outscoring the Bears 12-4 for a 31-19 lead at the break.

Coast Guard (7-13, 4-6) cut an 18-point deficit, 45-27 with 12:58 left, down to nine points at 49-40 following a basket by senior Eric Hudson with 7:28 left.

WPI put the game away by scoring 11 of the next 13 points to take a 60-42 lead with 2:24 left in the game.

Junior Jeff Robinson added 14 points while classmate Ben Etten added 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds for the Engineers, who outrebounded Coast Guard 45-30.

Hudson led Coast Guard with 12 points and a season-high eight rebounds while senior Stefan Lewis and junior Jevon James each added 11 points for the Bears.

WPI shot 42.3 percent from the field (22-52) while connecting on 10 of 16 from 3-point range while Coast Guard was 17 of 52 from the floor (32.7 percent) and made just four of 17 from 3-point range.
