United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Men's Swimming

KINGS POINT, N.Y.--(1/23/10)--Sophomore Matt Odom won the 100 breaststroke (59.80) and the 200 IM (1:59.71) leading the Bears past rival Merchant Marine 175-125.

Freshman Nick Poehler won the 1,000 freestyle (9:57.52), sophomore Johnson Knox won the 50 freestyle (21.50), sophomore Brian McGuiness won the 100 freestyle (46.95), senior Timmy Berry won the 200 backstroke (1:56.23), junior Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke (2:08.38) and junior Dan Alley won the 100 butterfly (53.27) for Coast Guard.

The Bears 200 yard medley relay team of Berry, Odom, Alley and Knox won with a time of 1:36.66 while the 400 yard medley relay team of McGuiness, Knox, Alley and sophomore Dan Beshoar won in 3:10.29.

Coast Guard improves to 8-1 on the season.
