Men's Swimming - Bears Split; Suffer First Loss of Season
Timmy Berry won an event and had a pair of second place finishes in the split.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(1/17/10)--Coast Guard beat host Springfield 209-91, but lost to MIT 174-126 in a tri-meet between the three New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) powerhouses.
The loss to MIT was the Bears first loss of the season, they are now 7-1 in dual meets on the year.
Timmy Berry won the 200 backstroke (1:55.65) and placed second in both the 100 backstroke (53:55) and the 200 IM (2:00.48).
Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:03.38 for Coast Guard.
