Women's Swimming - Bears Drop Pair to NEWMAC Rivals
Amy Olson won a pair of events for the Bears.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(1/17/10)--Kim Shadwick won three events, but it wasn't enough as Coast Guard lost to NEWMAC rivals MIT 183-117 and host Springfield 168-132.
Shadwick won the 100 backstroke (1:02.53), 500 freestyle (5:13.84) and the 1,000 freestyle (10:44.19). Amy Olson won both the 100 breaststroke (1:10.93) and the 200 breaststroke (2:33.36).
Also for the Bears, Heidi Gayman won the 50 freestyle (25:16), the 100 freestyle (54:57) and placed second in the 200 freestyle (1:58.80).
