Heidi Gayman won three events to lead the Bears to a pair of victories.
WELLESLEY, MASS.--(1/12/10)--Kim Shadwick and Heidi Gayman each won three events while Sam Sworden and Amy Olson each won a pair of events leading the Bears to a pair of wins over New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schools. Coast Guard beat Babson 192-101 and host Wellesley 166-129.
Shadwick won the 100 back (1:02.41), 200 back (2:16.24) and 100 butterfly (1:01.01) while Heidi Gayman won the 200 free (2:00.98), 100 free (54.80) and the 50 free (25.40).
Sam Sworden was victorious in both the 1000 free (11:09.85) and 500 free (5:26.84) while Olson won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.12) and the 200 breaststroke (2:37.98) for the Bears, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
Ariana Pourminor won the 3-meter diving event for Coast Guard with 187.50 points.
