Nick Poehler won a pair of events to lead the Bears past Conn. College.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(12/5/09)--Nick Poehler and Matt Odom each won a pair of events as Coast Guard remained unbeaten with a 201-96 win over host and neighboring rival Connecticut College.

Nick Poehler won the 500 freestyle (4:53.10) and the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 16:57.20 while Odom won the 100 breaststroke (58.93) and the 200 IM (2:00.64).

Also for the Bears, Brian McGuiness won the 200 freestyle (1:47.31), Dan Alley won the 200 butterfly (2:01.40), Johnson Knox won the 50 freestyle (21.68) and Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke improving his NCAA B cut time with a winning time of 2:07.22.


Orlando Morel won the 1-meter diving event with 208.5 points while Ray Chaisson won the 3-meter diving with a score of 205.8.

The Bears 200 free relay team of Knox, Dan Beshoar, Alley and McGuiness won in 1:27.07 to cap the win.

The Bears improved to 5-0 this season.
