Women's Swimming - Owens, Shadwick Lead Bears Past WPI
Kim Shadwick won a pair of events to lead the Bears.
WORCESTER, MASS.--(11/21/09)--Margaret Owens and Kim Shadwick each won two events leading Coast Guard to a 145-94 win over WPI at Clark University.
Owens won the 200 freestyle (2:05.37) and the 200 backstroke (2:22.09) while Shadwick posted wins in the 500 freestyle (5:17.98) and the 1,000 freestyle (10:47.79).
Also for the Bears (2-1), Heidi Gayman won the 50 freestyle (25.67), Sam Sworden won the 400 IM (4:59.69), Elizabeth Kenis won the 200 butterfly (2:28.72), Madeline Ede won the 100 freestyle (56.91) and the 400 medley relay team posted a win with a time of 4:13.50.
