Resch, who will make his first career start this weekend at Framingham State in the final game of the season, had completed just one of four passes on the season entering last week’s game. The one completion was a 75-yard touchdown pass, a week ago in a win at Worcester State.

Coast Guard quarterback Niles Pierson won the Gold Helmet in 2006 in his second career start when he threw four touchdown passes and ran for another.
