NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/26/09)--Junior Nick Devine scored a pair of goals, both assisted by sophomore Brett Godiksen leading Coast Guard to a 3-0 win over New York Maritime in a non-conference game between the two schools.

Devine broke a scoreless tie just 3:43 into the second half to give the Bears a 1-0 lead before sophomore Kevin Noll increased the lead to 2-0 on a goal less than four minutes later as senior Jacob Larsen assisted.

Godiksen found Devine again in the 86th minute to close the scoring. Godiksen, who now has a team-leading nine assists, hit the crossbar himself twice in the first half, the two best scoring chances for either team in the first 45 minutes.

Junior Chris Tarbell made four saves to pick up his second win of the season. It was the first shutout of the season for Tarbell and the fifth of his career.

Junior Harris Papson made four saves in net for the Privateers (10-6-1), who had their four game winning streak and five game unbeaten streak snapped in this their final game of the regular season.

Coast Guard (7-9) won back-to-back games for the first time since winning the first two games of the season.
