Men's Cross Country - Bears Capture Smith Invitational
Kevin O'Brien was the top Bear finisher as he placed second overall to lead the Bears to victory.
NORTHAMPTON, MASS.--(9/12/09)--Coast Guard placed four runners in the top seven spots to win the season opening Smith Invitational.
Sophomore Kevin O'Brien (17:04.28) was second overall while classmate Trevor Siperek (17:13.73) was fourth, junior Andrew Price (17:20.77) placed sixth and senior Mike Mrkvicka (17:22.54) was seventh.
The Bears finished with 31 points to edge Springfield, which finished with 33 points.
