Men's Outdoor Track - Luxhoj Earns 2nd All-America Honor in Three Days
Carl Luxhoj earned his second All-America honor on Saturday.
MARIETTA, OHIO--(5/23/09)--Sophomore Carl Luxhoj placed eighth in the triple jump to earn All-America honors, his second All-America recognition of the championship at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Marietta College.
Luxhoj, who placed third in the long jump on Thursday, set a Don Drumm Stadium record with a leap of 48 feet, 4.75 inches in his first jump of the day as he posted the best jump in the first flight.
The second flight was outstanding as six athletes then beat Luxhoj's stadium record.
His leap of 48 feet, 4.75 inches was his best of his six jumps as he earned All-America honors in the event for the first time in his young career.
